The Lord be with you!
This week I have been gladly welcoming cooler temperatures. Isn't such a blessing?
Special thank yous all around to those who came to Sunday worship, potluck, and began the process of setting up for the Rummage Sale. We had an ample sized gathering to help us get going :)
Please keep in mind that one week after the sale, we will be hosting the Presbytery of Sierra Blanca's fall meeting. I have begun to circulate a sign up sheet. We still need a few people with crock pots to either make something for the Friday night meal (or loan me one of yours and I'll make 2 crock pots!). We also have several other needs. If you can contribute food, volunteer time or both, please contact me and I'll help you get involved! This is a great way to get a front-seat experience to see how our local church polity works. The meeting begins Friday, October 11 and ends at noonish on Saturday, October 12th. It's an opportunity to introduce Tucumcari to the rest of our Presbyterian family.
Today and next week, please remember that there is no YOGA, because of the Rummage Sale. But, please come by Wednesday and Friday at 10AM for Exercise, Eat and Pray, which is loads of fun and fellowship (and some caffeine to boot).
Prayers:
This past Sunday, we had hardly any prayer requests. That's quite unusual. Let's keep these people in our prayers, however:
Gracie Whitson and her family
Tommy, Regina and Jenna Morris
Wayne and Sharon, and son David
Glenda Coles - awaiting surgery
Gloria, Teresa Brake's sister, still healing from surgery
Travelers
Our church and our community during this busy season
Tomorrow, at 7:00PM, the Christmas Cantata practices begin at the Methodist church. If you want to sing, come on out tomorrow night!
This Thursday, Session meets at 4:00PM. I will have the complete agenda by tomorrow morning (or tonight!).
Hope that your week is a blessed one. Russell and I will be in Santa Rosa today for another procedure, but if you need to reach me, please call at 575-708-0860. God bless you!
Love,
Rev. Amy
