Grace and Peace, Friends in Christ!Happy Quay County Fair Week, everyone!
Hope you will stop by and visit our booth (and tell your friends to do the same). Tonight our set up team will be there between about 5:30 and 8 ish putting the finishing touches on the display. There are still some spots open to work at the booth this week, starting Wednesday evening through Saturday afternoon.
We could use your help: Since we're selling cookies at the fair, you are invited to bake a dozen or more cookies to help us with the sale. You can deliver them Wednesday or Friday to the church between 9 and noon. Or, drop them by the fair and hide them under the table.
This year, we plan to sell some homemade goodies and a church cookbook, so come and get them before they disappear.
We had a very rich service on Sunday, complete with a visit from Rev. Ted Land and his wife, Polly. Ted is the new Transitional Shepherd for the Presbytery of Sierra Blanca, a two year position to assist our congregations in a variety of ways. If you wish for some one on one time with me for more information, please call/text me at 575-708-0860.
We also welcomed back our friends: David and Theresa Goldston, and said a hearty hello to Elmer and Annaliese Schuster. Happy to see you!

This week at 1st Pres:
Today - Yoga at Noon (bring a mat and a belt or towel), Quay Z Quilters come about 1:30
Booth set up: meet at 5:15 at the Church, 5:30-ish at Fairgrounds (indoor)
Tomorrow and Friday: Exercise, Eat and Pray at 9:00AM
Saturday: all day at the County Fair! 9:00PM take down the booth.
Sunday: 9:30 "What's a Presbyterian?" Adult Sunday School
10:30 Catch up and Coffee fellowship
11:00 Worship
12:15 Congregational Potluck (host: Robin Cherry)
Please consider "working" at the booth this week during the fair, and maybe make some cookies. Please contact me to find out what time slots are still open!
