The Presbyterian Women (formerly the Missionary Society, est. 1913) is a mover and shaker in our congregation! With them, and the support of the whole church, we have:
- Collected school supplies for area children,
- Provided Christmas presents to families under care of the CYFD (NM Children, Youth and Families Division),
- Hosted congregational suppers,
- Helped fund the upkeep of our aging buildings,
- Provided assistance to stranded travelers with a bus ticket or food or lodging, depending on need,
- Provided the pastor with a discretionary fund to help individuals based on need,
- Hosted traveling church groups,
- Made and delivered "Chemo Caps" to Plains Regional Cancer Center in Clovis
- Taken up collections for Ministry of H.O.P.E.
- Provided "microloans" to Third World entrepreneurs
- Given to scholarships for Menaul School of Albuquerque, and
- For over 50 years, twice a year, held a Rummage Sale that attracts people from the entire community.
